The U.S. Navy built this historic 8700 square foot house in 1890. It later served as Truman's Winter White House from 1946-1952. Also used by Presidents Taft, Eisenhower and Kennedy and by former Presidents Carter and Clinton. It has been restored to its post WWII glory. Full narrated guided tours, offered 9 a.m. - 4:30 plus free exhibition galleries, presidential gift shop and free self guided botanical tour of the gardens.
